A downloadable drawing prompts rpg

Daily Drawing Quest RPG (2021)

A semi-gamified, improvisational set of drawing prompts using dice rolls to dictate the path you take. Inspired by art challenges like Inktober, Catober, KaiJune and more, these are 31 prompts for 31 days of drawing. Your adventure will be visual improv, using the context of what came before to shape a story, stopping ever so often to roll a dice and get a random outcome.

Note: I am originally drawing these in November 2021 which only has 30 days. I forgot about that when I first wrote the prompts.

What you need...

- Something to make art in/on and with: sketchbook, computer tablet, phone, sticky notes, etc and the drawing tools of your choice.

- List of  prompts.

- d6 dice (six sided dice)

Rules...

1 - Read the prompt for that day, and do a sketch/drawing/image based on it.

(Or do a bunch all at once.  Or when you have time. I myself sometimes have to play catch up when I get behind, life stuff happens and this should be engaging and fun.)

2 - Any prompt that says ACTION means that you will have to roll a dice or make a choice of some sort.

Most ACTION prompts have you rolling a d6 and trying to hit over a certain number. Example: d6 > 4 (means roll a six sided dice over 4 to succeed.)

3 - Any prompt that says MONTAGE means that you should draw more then one image on your page. The classic example would be drawing panels like in a comic book.

4 - BONUS. Any time you draw the character using an object, like “odd tool/weapon” you can add +1 to your roll.

You will start with your “odd tool/weapon”, but there are two objects that can be picked up along the way. One object can be picked up by chance and one by choice.

5 - Many prompts are written open ended and more vague, this is usually coming from an ‘ACTION’ prompt where the outcome might be different. In those cases use the context from the last prompt you drew.

Feel free to share your experiences/ links to your interpretations of the prompts in the comments.

Enjoy.
